Daily Schedules:
- Kindergarten: 8:00 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.
Full day kindergarten will be offered at Luis E. Armijo Elementary and Valley Elementary. Kindergarten students must be five years of age on or before September 1, 2001. Birth certificates and immunization records are required.
- Elementary Schools: 8:00 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.
- Middle Schools: 8:00 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
- High Schools: 8:00 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.
Transportation Services:
School bus transportation will begin on Monday, August 20, 2001. For more information contact Larry Rascon at 426-2314 or Loretta Salazar at 426-2313.
School Uniforms:
School uniforms will be required for the 2001 - 2002 school year at Luis E. Armijo, Don Cecilio Martinez, Tony Serna Jr., and Union Street Elementary Schools. Allowed attire and colors are as follows:
- Tops (for Boys and Girls), Colors: Navy; White; Burgundy; Hunter Green
- Shorts and Pants (for Boys), Colors: Khaki; Black Navy
- Pants, Shorts, Skirts, Jumpers, and Skorts (for Girls), Colors: Khaki; Black; Navy
Food Service:
Federally sponsored Universal Free Provision II Feeding program. All students receive free breakfast, and lunch (as well as free snacks for Head Start participants), regardless of family income. For more information, contact Dean Gallegos at 426-2527.
Staff Orientation:
Orientation for ALL STAFF will take place at the WLV Middle School Cafeteria on Thursday, August 16, 2001 from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Staff will then report to their assigned buildings or to a location designated by their immediate supervisor at 1:30 p.m.
