Mary Ann's Famous Kitchen
Review by Robert
Goff
Mary Ann's is a small
place at the corner of
Douglas and Grand. It's
not fancy, but if you
like good food at great
prices, this is the place.
The list of burrito varieties
fills a large poster on
one wall. Breakfast burritos
are a special value, at
$2 each. The stuffed sopapillas
at $3 are a little larger,
good for a lunch. Dinners
are reasonably priced
between $6 and $12. Mary
Ann specializes in Mexican
cuisine, but she makes
a great hamburger, chicken
fried steak, or rib eye.
At least as impressive
as their food is their
involvement in the community.
Every day they help the
poor and indigent of Las
Vegas get enough nourishment,
and they're active in
local politics and social
causes.
Good food, great prices, and wonderful
people. Recommended.
