Disaster Relief

ZiaLink established an account at First National Bank after the September 11th disaster. ZiaLink started this disaster relief effort with a $500.00 donation and the community of Las Vegas really stepped to the plate as well. Las Vegas total contribution to the Twin Towers Relief fund totaled $3,642.73. The check has been sent and we can all be proud of the contribution we have made as a community.

The Twin Towers Fund has raised approximately $150 million to date. To see what has been distributed and to whom you can go to www.twintowersfund.org

SpeedLink!

SpeedLink is almost here! We are sorry for the delay, yet the system has been in the "test" mode and Eric, our System Administrator, has been working very hard on this and promises that we are in the final stretch. With SpeedLink installed you will be able to receive web pages up to 6 times faster than with a normal dial-up service, according to our wonderful "Plaz::Tech" Eric. So, hold on to your seats and be ready for a real blast soon. Keep checking the website and you will learn when this service will be available. Sign up and see the difference SpeedLink can make for you.

Business of the Month

ZiaLink strongly believes in community. Businesses in Las Vegas do such a wonderful job of providing the goods and services we all need that we have decided to recognize this on a monthly basis with our new "Business of the Month" salute. We will pick one local business per month and highlight them on our site as a way to bring attention to the great efforts businesses put forth so that citizens of Las Vegas are provided with what they need in their active, productive lives.

We are proud to solute our first ZiaLink Business of the Month: Northern Insurance. To read more about Northern Insurance go to "The Business of the Month" on our website. Changes Coming

The ZiaLink website will be going through some great changes in the next few months. We are in the planning stage of adding more interesting sections, so keep ZiaLink as your homepage and visit often. Sections being planned include: Health Watch, Teen Scene, Restaurant Review, Seniors Corner, Writers corner, and more. If you would like to submit work to any of these sections please email your work, with the specific section in the subject line to: features@zialink.com

Meet Chris Gallegos

ZiaLink has always relied heavily on the expertise and skills of Chris Gallegos Jr. Chris has been with ZiaLink since June of 2000 and has been key in business development since January 2001. As you can see, Chris has been working for ZiaLink for nearly two years now, yet he is now taking a more "visible" role. Chris is now taking a more active roll in helping local businesses create an online identity and is concentrating on website development, banner advertising and dedicated line sales.
