ZiaLink Believes Community Counts!
ZiaLink, your local Internet Solution, has been giving up to $500.00 to a qualified, locally registered non-profit organization. We are proud to announce that the "Community Dollars" program will be continuing in 2001 as well.

If you represent a local non-profit organization, and are interested in this unique program, please contact Genesys Computer Sales at 801 Douglas Avenue.

Zialink is proud to offer this innovative new program and looks forward to helping the Las Vegas Community.

Community Dollars Recipient for 2nd Quarter
ZiaLink's 2nd quarter Community Dollars donation of $500 was given to the Las Vegas area Special Olympics June 6, 2001.

Chris Gallegos Jr. and Ron Doss from ZiaLink were present to award the donation. Accepting the donation was Larry Johns, local coordinator, and Steven Garcia, silver and gold medal recipient.

This ZiaLink donation on behalf of our loyal subscribers helps to provide year round activities for mentally challenged athletes. Donations are used to pay for registration fees, transportation, food, lodging, equipment, and supplies. Volunteers from the community perform all labor; coaching, bus driving, planning and fundraising.

The Special Olympics provides its athletes an opportunity to exercise, train, compete, and socialize. This past year, our Las Vegas athletes participated in state and area competitions in polyhockey, volleyball, track and field, cycling, softball, bowling, and basketball. They were also able to attend a basketball clinic at "the Pit" and attend Lobo football games. Athletes also attend the state competition, where the Saturday evening dance is always a big hit!

Every quarter, ZiaLink makes a donation to a qualified, locally registered non-profit organization that have applied for participation.

Thank you Las Vegas for choosing ZiaLink as your Internet Service Provider where you help make a difference in your community!

San Miguel's Search & Rescue latest to Benefit from the ZiaLink "Community Dollars" Program
Bernard Schaer of ZiaLink presented a check for $500 to Peter A. D'Aquanni of San Miguel Search & Rescue as part of ZiaLink's Community Dollars program. This unique ZiaLink promotion focuses on helping area "not-for-profit" organizations.

Bernard said, "It is our way of giving back to the community, and keep in mind that these donations would not be possible if it were not for our loyal ZiaLink subscribers. We are grateful for their support." The donations will be given once per month to a local non-profit organization that applies and qualifies for the ZiaLink Community Dollars Program.

San Miguel Search & Rescue works directly for the New Mexico State Police and is a non-profit volunteer organization. When someone is lost or injured, this group that is called upon by the State Police to manage/run the mission in any search and/or rescue situation.

Peter D'Aquanni stated "The majority of our missions are the result of lost hunters in the winter and lost children in the summer. Our organization has quarterly business meetings and 8-10 training sessions each year. If you love being outdoors and are in good physical condition, as well as enjoy helping people in need, please join us. We are always looking for more volunteers who will become dependable members of our group."

Peter stated the ZiaLink check would be used to purchase some much-needed new equipment including special ropes for mountain rescues. For further information, you may contact Peter at 454-6520.
