Community
Dollars Recipient for
2nd Quarter
ZiaLink's 2nd quarter
Community Dollars donation
of $500 was given to the
Las Vegas area Special
Olympics June 6, 2001.
Chris Gallegos Jr. and
Ron Doss from ZiaLink
were present to award
the donation. Accepting
the donation was Larry
Johns, local coordinator,
and Steven Garcia, silver
and gold medal recipient.
This ZiaLink donation
on behalf of our loyal
subscribers helps to provide
year round activities
for mentally challenged
athletes. Donations are
used to pay for registration
fees, transportation,
food, lodging, equipment,
and supplies. Volunteers
from the community perform
all labor; coaching, bus
driving, planning and
fundraising.
The Special Olympics
provides its athletes
an opportunity to exercise,
train, compete, and socialize.
This past year, our Las
Vegas athletes participated
in state and area competitions
in polyhockey, volleyball,
track and field, cycling,
softball, bowling, and
basketball. They were
also able to attend a
basketball clinic at "the
Pit" and attend Lobo
football games. Athletes
also attend the state
competition, where the
Saturday evening dance
is always a big hit!
Every quarter, ZiaLink
makes a donation to a
qualified, locally registered
non-profit organization
that have applied for
participation.
Thank you Las Vegas for
choosing ZiaLink as your
Internet Service Provider
where you help make a
difference in your community!

lost hunters in
the winter and lost
children in the
summer. Our organization
has quarterly business
meetings and 8-10
training sessions
each year. If you
love being outdoors
and are in good
physical condition,
as well as enjoy
helping people in
need, please join
us. We are always
looking for more
